Abstract: | This articles examines the detrimental effects of the expanding constructions industry in Malta on its social fabric, drawing on statements by Prof Andrew Azzopardi, Dean of Faculty for the Social Wellbeing. It highlights issues such as the loss of open spaces, rising rent prices, environmental degradation, and the erosion of community values. The article calls for stakeholder to take responsibility and implement measures to mitigate these negative impacts, emphasing the need for sustainable development and the protection of communal wellbeing. |
