The World witnessed in the last ten years an important phase in the spread of democracy and respect of human rights. Jordan, which forms a part of this world, realized that this century is a century of the modem democracies and the political life should match with the spirit and needs of this century. So, Jordan started the patch of democracy again when King Hussein declared in 1989 the decision to return to democracy and parliamentary life. And because many did not know the truth of this democratic expenence, I would like to deal with the subject of democracy and human rights in the three Jordanian Constitutions, explain the reasons, which lead Jordan towards democracy, and show the main freedoms and rights in Jordanian Constitutions. I divide my research into three parts: • The first part defines democracy with a history about Jordanian Politics • The second part is about democracy in Jordan • The third part deals with the rights and freedoms m the three Jordanian Constitutions.en_GB
