Abstract: The WHO European Region covers a vast geographical area from the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans and includes 53 diverse Member States, where there is large variation in the accessibility and quality of rehabilitation services. One commonality is the substantial need for rehabilitation. The recently published, first-of-its-kind document “The need for rehabilitation services in the WHO European Region” presents data from the 2019 Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study.
