dc.description.abstract | Anthony Mamo’s journey in the legal profession commenced in 1942 when he joined the Attorney-General's Office as Crown Counsel. With unwavering dedication and competence, he steadily climbed the ranks, eventually assuming the esteemed role of Attorney-General in 1955. Within a short span of two years, he was appointed as Chief Justice and president of the court of Appeal, receiving the distinguished honour of knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II. Sir Anthony's contributions extended beyond his legal endeavours, as he served as president of the Council and Pro-Chancellor of the Royal University of Malta for numerous years. In recognition of his exceptional service, he was granted the honorary title of Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.). In this article, Eddie Attard highlights some of the prominent trials of Sir Anthony Mamo. | en_GB |
