| Abstract: | iMprint has evolved into a biennial event that exclusively centers around the exhibition and promotion of intaglio printmaking techniques, ie the printing process that involves ink beneath the surface of the plate. The event is organized by artist-printmakers Lino Borg, Justin Falzon, and Jesmond Vassallo, in collaboration with curator Christian Attard, and is produced in partnership with the ArtiGrafika association. As a longstanding tradition, iMprint pays tribute to renowned Maltese artists of the 20th century who have contributed a significant body of intaglio works. Previous editions of the event have highlighted the remarkable etchings of Carmelo Mangion, among others. |
