| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre, in association with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, presents the programme for ballet performance performed by Paolo Bortoluzzi, with music performed by the Deutsche Oper Berlin. The performance, which was held as part of the Malta International Arts Festival 1975, featured ballet dances to the musical works of Shostakovich, Stravinsky, and Debussy. The performance was held on the 14th, the 16th, the 17th, and the 18th of December, 1975, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two copies of programme for 14th and 16th December included, one with performers' signatures and the other without. Both programmes include note with photo on guest star Paolo Bortoluzzi, list of Deutsche Oper Berlin company members, list of featured music danced to including composers and descriptions, essay on the history of the Manoel Theatre written by Victor Lewis, and picture of Manoel theatre's booking plan. Programmes are given numbers 571 and 573 respectively in archival records. Retrieved from the Manoel theatre records. |
