Abstract: Manoel Theatre presents the programme for a concert performed by the Malta Band Clubs' Association Massed Band (directed by Anthony Chircop) and the King's Own Band (directed by Carmelo Caruana). The concert, which was held as part of the Malta International Arts Festival 1975, featured the musical works of Maltese composers Joseph Magri, Anthony Chircop, Carmelo Caruana, Paul Schembri, Vincenzo Ciappara, Anthony Aquilina, Peter Paul Ciantar, Angelo Pullicino, and Andrew Coleiro. The performance was held on the 16th of September, 1975, at St. Paul's Square, in Mdina.
Description: Programme includes essay on the history of Mdina including mention of its historic buildings written by Michael Ellul, essays on the Malta Band Club's Association and The King's Own Band, list of featured music including composers, map of Mdina, essay on the history of the Manoel theatre written by Victor Lewis, and list of forthcoming festival events in September.
