Abstract: | Congenital heart disease is to be considered into two groups, namely the Cyanotic and Acyanotic heart disease, whereby the cardiac abnormalities are examined for each group. Furthermore, the conditions of congenital heart surgery are examined in four groups, specifically, not operable, ideally operable, satisfactorily operable and unsatisfactorily operable. The division of these groups is important for assessing the validity of submitting a child to major heart operation in relation to operative risk and subsequent benefits and prognosis. |
