Abstract: Manoel Theatre, in association with the National Committee of the European Architectural Heritage Year 1975, presents the programme for a vocal and instrumental concert conducted by Mro Joseph Sammut and Mro. Ino Savini, led by George Spiteri, and performed by the Manoel Theatre Orchestra. The performance, which was held as part of the Malta International Arts Festival 1975, starred soprano singer Lorenza Canepa and tenor singer Antonio Liviero. The concert featured the musical works of Mussorgsky, Giordano, Verdi, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Puccini. The performance was held on the 18th of September, 1975, at St. Paul's Square, in Mdina.
Description: Programme includes essay on the history of Mdina including its historical buildings, short notes with photos on conductor Ino Savini and singers Lorenza Canepa and Antonio Liviero, photo of conductor Joseph Sammut, list of featured music including their operas and composers, map of Mdina, essay on the history of Manoel Theatre written by Victor Lewis, and list of festival events in September.
