Abstract: In this contribution we propose a GPR investigation performed on a prehistoric “tumulus” at Parabita, close to Lecce (Southern Italy). The tumuli are accumulations of stones covering a grave, in use through an indefinite but quite long time during prehistoric ages, built in several places all over the world. A tumulus strongly hinders the common use of the metric wheel (odometer) if we want to gather a Bscan over it, and so a dedicated strategy in order to investigate the tumulus was adopted and will be shown.
