Abstract: Throughout the early 20th century, various marketing strategies were employed by major cigarette companies to promote and advertise the sale of tobacco products. These strategies encompassed a wide range of approaches, including the distribution of tokens and cigarette cards. Additionally, high-quality promotional gifts were utilized to foster strong relationships with customers, thereby ensuring their continued patronage and loyalty. Notably, health warnings were absent during this period, and smoking was actively encouraged as a beneficial activity.
