Abstract: The Royal visit to Gozo started with a shining sun and peaceful blue sea. Her Majesty was accompanied by Governor General Sir Maurice Dorman and Lady Dorman. Rear Admiral D. L. Davenport, Flag Officer Malta, was presented by His Excellency, who, in turn, presented Commodore M.O.C. Crawford, commanding H.M.S. St. Angelo. Gozo was in a festive atmosphere, with fishermen, farmers, and other workers coming together to welcome their Royal guest, leaving the bays and fields deserted. The queen visited various places, including the hospital and churches.
