Abstract: | I suppose that the title of this talk may raise some eyebrows because universities are not traditionally perceived as having anything to do with "creativity in practice" which is the main theme of this conference. "Creativity in practice" has been associated with organisations which are well-known for their innovative ideas as well as individuals who are either well-known inventors or who are the driving force behind creative organisations. The main aim of my talk today is to give a brief overview of the programme which I co-ordinate at the University of Malta, a programme which has been inspired by the inventor of lateral thinking, Professor Edward de Bono. After describing various projects, I would like you to watch a short video which demonstrates some of the work which is being carried out with young children every summer at the University of Malta. |
