Abstract: | A cooling system for cooling a solar panel assembly including at least one photovoltaic (PV) module having a plurality of solar cells is described. The cooling system includes a solar panel frame holding the SP A, a bottom plate (3) hermetically attached to the frame to create a water chamber underneath the PV module for holding water for cooling the PV module. The cooling system also includes a stream spreader arranged within the water chamber to provide a uniform fluid dynamic within the water chamber, a pipe adapter to provide a freedom of movement of the solar panel assembly, and a temperature sensor to measure temperature of the PV module at a back sheet of the PV module. The cooling system also includes an external PV junction box mounted outside of the water chamber so as to provide easy accessibility to electrical terminals of the PV module and the temperature sensor. |
