| Abstract: | Launched in Gozo at the fresh Black Box Theatre of Teatru Astra, It-Teatru tal-Miskin recounts the tale of a young boy who likes wearing heels. The storyline takes place at the commencement of the boy's youthful age, a time when the notion of "otherness" held no significance - a time when it was deemed appropriate to sport heels or showcase flamboyance. According to the author, Lara Zammit, the idea of "otherness" only materialises when viewed through the eyes of conformity that discourages deviations. |
