Abstract: | Case: Mrs. A was a 75 year old older person admitted to emergency care with dehydration and hypoglycaemia. She said that since she moved slowly her daughter, Ms. S, had begun to push her in order to move faster and that the wounds had come from falls during these occasions in which she hit objects – which is what she would report to her general practitioner (GP). Later she claimed that the daughter hit her when she would not eat. The most recent was an injury to her forehead which she claimed was due to a recent push when she hit the corner of the table. She said that on one occasion, when she did not like the food her daughter had prepared, the latter had splashed the plate onto her face. [excerpt] |
