Abstract: Manoel Theatre and the Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Culture, in association with the Cathedral Chapter, present the programme for an orchestral concert performed by the Manoel Theatre Orchestra, which was conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut, and led by George Spiteri. The concert featured the Manoel Theatre Choir, which was instructed by Marietta Magro and Josanne Tagliaferro. The concert also starred soprano singer Miriam Gauci Tabone, and organist Mro. Angelo Pace. The concert featured the musical works of Carmelo Galea, Mozart, Haydn, and Schubert. The performance was held on the 21st of July, 1978, at St. John's Co-Cathedral, in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes note on the history and design of St John's Co-Cathedral Church, list of featured music including composers and descriptions, list of members of the Manoel Theatre Orchestra, lists of male and female members of the Manoel Theatre Choir, and list of Manoel theatre technical staff.
