Abstract: The triangular distribution is bounded by the maximum, minimum and specified by the maximum, minimum and target values. This distribution could be a very useful for exercises and learning experiences in education. In some analysis, employing the normal distribution can give results outside the range because of the theoretical properties in symmetric sense. Triangular distribution is particularly a straightforward tool for the positive skewed data. In this paper how to use the triangular distribution as an alternative to the normal distribution to determine the probability that the random variable falls in a particular range is shown on some education related examples.
