| Abstract: | This special issue presents fourteen papers that were delivered at the 14th World Conference on Transport Research (WCTR) in Shanghai, China, hosted by Tongji University between the 10th and 15th July 2016. More specifically it contains papers presented in sessions organized by the Special Interest Groups G2 – National and Regional Transport Planning and Policy and G3 – Urban Transport Planning and Policy. The main objective of SIG G2 is to advance knowledge in national and regional transport planning and policy-making, aiming to improve the economic, environmental and social environment in regional, national and also global scale, both regarding passenger and freight transport. With regard to SIG G3 two of its main objectives are to collate experience on the performance of urban transport planning and policy and to establish good practice in the evaluation of urban transport planning and policy. |
