As technology continues to advance further, new methods of creation are utilised by humans in their everyday lives. Artificial intelligence as a technology has broadened the creative horizons, transforming what was previously conceived to be a fantasy into reality. With such advancements, legislative concepts which presupposed such technologies, may be questioned in regard to their adaptability to newfound dilemmas. Generative Ai is a testament to this, as what this artificial intelligence system has created in the recent years, has not only changed the way one looks at creation but also has blurred the lines of authorship. Hence, an analysis of the generative AI and their functions will allow for a better understanding of where they stand in terms of protection under the current legislative bodies. Copyright law through such newfound methods of creation is being placed in questionable position, should it adapt or do the current legations already afford the desired level of protection?en_GB
