| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and The Choral Society present the programme for the concert version of the opera "Nabucco", composed by Giuseppe Verdi, conducted by Mro. Joseph Vella, and led by Mario Bisazza. The concert featured soloists Brian Donlan (baritone), Pamela Smith (soprano), Brian Holmes (bass), Phyllis Bajada Abram (soprano), Elia Cassar (tenor), and Paul Portelli (bass). The performance was held on the 14th of April, 1982, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Includes two versions of programme, one regular version with soloists' signatures, and one souvenir version without signatures. Regular programme includes list of featured songs, list of soloists including signatures, note on Nabucco and this particular performance of it, and notes on soloists Brian Donlan, Pamela Smith and Brian Holmes. Souvenir programme includes note on history of the Choral Society including its history, aims and members, list of acknowledgements for supporters of the concert, list of organisational members and chorus members of the Choral Society, list of previous works performed by the Choral Society, and essay on composer Giuseppe Verdi.
