Abstract: Manoel Theatre presents the programme for a musico-literary event held in remembrance of Anton Buttigieg, directed by George Peresso. The event featured readings of Anton Buttigieg's poetry, a dance performance from "Grupp Żepp u Grezz" (taught by Lilian Theuma), and musical performances from the Manoel Theatre Orchestra (directed by Mro. Joseph Sammut) and singers Rosabelle Buttigieg, Mary Rose Mallia and Renato. The event was held on the 12th of November, 1983, at the Manoel theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes Anton Buttigieg's poem "Il-Kebbies tal-Fanali", introductory note with photo on Anton Buttigieg written by Ugo D. Mizzi, essay on Anton Buttigieg and the different roles he took up with photos written by R. Sammy Sammut, list of featured performers/performance items with some signatures, essay on Anton Buttigieg as a politician written by Anton Cassar, note on Anton Buttigieg as a poet written by J. Micallef Grimaud, and excerpts from Anton Buttigieg's poems "Żmien ir-Rebbiegħa" and "Tama". Programme is given no. 950 in archival records. Retrieved from the Manoel theatre records.
