The study provides an analytical overview of Malta's legal system and approach to addressing interpersonal violence by focusing on legislation provisions that serve to prevent or punish violence against women, against children and sexual identity based violence. The study provides a legal analysis of offences that relate to interpersonal violence, assessing their compliance with international standards, and provides an analysis of the authorities and agencies set up to support victims of violence.
