dc.description.abstractManoel Theatre and Associazione Mattia Battistini (Roma), in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, present the programme for the 4-act melodrama "Rigoletto", written by Francesco Maria Piave, with music composed by Guiseppe Verdi, and directed by Franca Valeri. The opera performance featured the Manoel Theatre Orchestra, conducted by Maurizia Rinaldi and Joseph Sammut. The performance also featured the Ar.P.A. Chorus, directed by Emanuela di Pietro. The opera was part of Associazione Mattia Battistini's opera series 1988-1989. The performance was held on the 23rd, the 24th, and the 27th of November, 1988, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.en_GB
