Abstract: Manoel Theatre and Maleth, in collaboration with Multigas Ltd. and Simonds Farsons Cisk Ltd., present the programme for the 3-act operetta "La Danza delle Libellule", written by Carlo Lombardo with music composed by Franz Lehár, translated into Maltese by Ġino Muscat Azzopardi, and artistically directed by Frank Tanti. The performance featured an orchestra directed by Joe Fenech. The performance also featured Kor "Jubilate Deo" (directed by Fr Renè Vella). The performance included choreography created by Mary Jane Bellia and Ray Mamo, which was performed by students from the Mary Jane Bellia & Ray Mamo Ballet Studio. The performance was held from the 31st of March till the 2nd of April, 1989, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with performers'/crews' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include photos of artistic director Frank Tanti, musical director Joe Fenech and actors Arthur Micallef, Miriam Cauchi, John Dimech and Simone Zammit, list of cast, synopsis of scenes, list of acknowledgements from Maleth, list of crew, list of members of Jubilate Deo Choir, list of members from Mary Jane Bellia & Ray Mamo Ballet School, photos of actors Victor Grech, Charles Wyatt, Inez Farrugia and Victor Bartolo, group photo of choreographers Mary Jane Bellia and Ray Mamo, list of committee members of Maleth, short note on Maleth's forthcoming production "Il-Commander-In-Chief" occurring later in May at Manoel Theatre, and list of acknowledgements from the Manoel Theatre Management Committee.
