| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre, the Ministry of Education, Koperatturi, and l-Istitut Kattoliku present the programme for the Greek tragedy "Edipu s-Sultan", adapted and translated to Maltese from Sophocles's tragedy "Oedipus Rex" by Oliver Friggieri, and directed by Carmel S. Aquilina. The performance was held from the 14th till the 16th of April, 1989, at Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two copies of programme included, one with performers'/crews' signatures and the other without. Both programmes include director's note written by director Carmel S. Aquilina, translator's note written by translator Prof. Oliver Friggieri, list of cast, lists of crews, synopsis of the play, quotes from different drama scholars reviewing the play translated into Maltese, essay on Koperatturi, and list of acknowledgements from the Manoel Theatre Management Committee.
