| Abstract: | Part of the malacological collection of the National Museum of Natural History, Mdina, Malta, consists of 1626 lots representing 86 species and subspecies of non-marine molluscs (Mollusca: Gastropoda and Bivalvia) collected from the Maltese Islands. This collection has been renovated and augmented in recent years, in efforts to address significant damage caused by the Second World War, exacerbated by subsequent neglect of the collection. A systematic and taxonomically updated catalogue of the lots is presented. |
