Abstract: | The Anthropocene epoch is marked by a global search for better living and well-being, driven by human impact on both individual and societal levels. This chapter explores how the interplay between human agency and sociocultural affordances can create new possibilities through lifelong learning. It suggests that while old methods may be outdated, twenty-first-century skills offer a valuable toolkit for embracing future opportunities. By using imagination and strategies to think about the future, humans can shape new possibilities. The chapter emphasizes creative cognition and the role of individuals in navigating the constraints of their environments. |
