Abstract: In past research, a considerable effort was devoted to exploring the links between creativity and education within settings where younger students were concerned. From a lifelong learning perspective, there appears to be scope for exploration in the realm of adult education, more specifically by focusing on workplace learning. This chapter explores how situated learning in the workplace could provide areas where instances of creative education may be approached to create lifelong learning opportunities in these settings. Specifically, this will be considered by looking at workplace learning from a sociocultural perspective where actors, affordances, and audiences interact to transform artifacts through changing actions. The chapter will also delve into aspects of connected learning where the interactions between interests, relationships, and opportunities will be explored in the light of a typology of factors that may influence how situated learning is transferred to the workplace. The chapter goes on to explore how opportunities for deep learning may be created by actively seeking to transfer learning that is created in-situ. Through deep learning, opportunities for a creative and dynamic workplace may be created. The chapter concludes by considering a few ways in which these hubs of creative activity could be grown and nurtured.
