Abstract: The volume under review, co-edited by Carmel Borg and Peter Mayo, presents the proceedings of the 2023 International Conference on Critical Education (ICCE), titled Critical Education and Learning for Social Change. This conference took place at the University of Malta in May 2023. The organic link between the May 2023 conference and this publication is manifest in various ways. At governance level, the conference was convened under the auspices of the Department of Arts, Open Communities and Adult Education within the Faculty of Education of the University of Malta, and its UNESCO Chair in Global Adult Education. This book was subsequently published by the same Faculty, and with the conference convenors as editors.
