| Abstract: | Welcome to the Sixth IEEE International Conference on Semantic Computing (ICSC 2012) in Palermo, Sicily. This year’s conference builds on the tradition of the past five as an international forum for academics and industrial practitioners working in diverse areas of semantic computing to come together to share ideas and to build off of each other’s specialties. In particular, at ICSC, researchers working in different disciplines such as natural language processing, machine learning, and knowledge representation have the opportunity for cross-pollination as well as for propagating their ideas to a broader audience, joined together by the common goal of computationally assigning and processing human-intelligible meaning to data. |
