dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to research the crime of vehicle road license evasion in Malta while comparing it to its equivalent in the UK. Investigating methods used abroad in order to counteract this problem while looking into the the perception of the Local Police on this crime. Various sanctions and deterrence theories are endorsed while taking into consideration the judicious use of technology. This is aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Malta Traffic Police.en_GB
