Abstract: In this opinion piece, the writer considers characteristics of the Gozo tourism product. Based on the Island’s strengths and weaknesses, he proposes a tourism strategy using a Green Gozo brand. Together with similar articles by the same and other writers, this article was the precursor to the Eco-Gozo brand that was adopted by the Maltese government in subsequent years.
