The earth & the universe : an online multimedia resource for students studying physics at SEC level

Abstract

This work involves the development of an educational web site covering the topic 'The Earth and The Universe' to be used by SEC Physics students in Maltese secondary schools. This interactive approach to such a topic was taken so as to help the students understand better what lies beyond Earth. This resource package also presents other tools that the teacher can use in class with the students in order to create a richer learning experience for the students. This work presents also evaluations done by both pre-service and in-service teachers and analysis of further developments which came to light from the evaluation are taken into consideration. All pre-service and in-service teachers who have participated in the evaluation were interested in using such a web site as a teaching tool in class.
