The analysis of the effectiveness of workplace meetings at Jobsplus

Abstract

Jobsplus is an organization which serves several stakeholders. To perform its duties, workplace meetings are held throughout the year. This study aims to explore the approximate cost of such meetings held, their effectiveness and identify whether these might be viewed as a waste of time among managerial, executive and clerical staff. The study used a mixed method design; a questionnaire and an analysis of the samples of minutes taken from meetings held. The results showed that a cost of around €610K is incurred by Jobsplus annually. The study showed that meetings are partially serving their scope within the organization and several improvements are required in minute writing. The use of this research can assist to approach better organization of workplace meetings at Jobsplus.
