The benefits of a warehouse management system within a modern and progressive food company

Abstract

The aim of this research project is to show the importance of the Warehouse Management System in a company and what Management can achieve by implementing the correct system. The report shows different companies that when they implemented such system, they reduced cost and are more efficient than before. The study of such system was done by a quantitative method. Quantitative data from a particular company was collected and arranged into a database system. The data gives a clear picture of the importance of such a system. It also shows that the Management of the company need to work with the vendor of the system to solve the issues the system have at the moment in order to be more efficient and the operation run more smoothly. The report concludes with recommendations for the company and also will help other companies who are discussing to implement such system.
