This project will be focused at seeing if the Maltese society – at a local and national level is ready to start thinking differently in terms of Public Transport. I will be proposing a new multimodal system and see what are the reactions from the general public. The reason for which this study has been chosen is due to the fact that in recent years the current public transport service has been through changes, but the changes have always been from a conventional perspective. The result is that the public transport system has been operating the same type of system for years. The multimodal system being proposed is built on the current Bus formula used today but with a more holistic approach. It would be a system laid on the Bus Rapid Transit philosophy and additionally supported by different modes of transport. For the successful implementation of this system there would be the need for a strong willing government and population, which would want a change to the current congested lifestyle that we have to live with.en_GB
