Title: | The relationship between cognitive abilities, intuition and demographics : a quantitative study |
Authors: | Genovese, Jamie Iain |
Keywords: | Intuition Cognition Demography |
Issue Date: | 2014 |
Abstract: | This dissertation serves to explore the significant relationships between intuition, five cognitive abilities and demographics in an anonymous sample of people. The sample, obtained through snowball sampling, partook in an anonymous online questionnaire that consisted of three segments; basic demographics, a Multiple Ability Self-Report Questionnaire, and a Preference for Intuition and Deliberation Scale. The findings presented suggest a correlation between scores on the PID-Intuition scale and Visual Perceptual Ability, as well as higher mean scores on PID-Intuition for women, but no such relationships were present for age or occupation; limitations were present and discussed and results should be interpreted in that context. |
