This dissertation attempts to explore a means by which students are enhanced to fuse environmental education together with their secondary school curriculum. Dwejra, is a potential educational site and a community tool that can be used to help teachers move outside the classroom and focus more on field hands-on and minds-on activities. This project is developed around a set of activities that are supplimented with ideas for follow-up activities. The activities chosen enable the students to become more familiar with the area and while appreciating the unique beauty of Dwejra, the understanding of certain biological concepts covered in the classroom, is facilitated. The Resource pack also contains an appendix which provides the teacher with the necessary background knowledge to tackle the proposed activities. This dissertation contains some general information about Dwejra highlighting its historical, geographical and environmental aspects. Additionally some recommendations and suggestions of how the pack can be improved were proposed by teachers and members of the Nature Trust that kindly dedicated some of their time to evaluate the Resource Pack.en_GB
