The International Journal of Emotional Education (IJEE) is the journal of the European Network for Social and Emotional Competence (ENSEC) and the Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health (CRES) at the University of Malta, and published through CRES.

It is a peer-reviewed, international, electronic journal providing space for high quality, empirically based papers on effective intervention and evaluation in the area of emotional education.

It is published twice a year, in April and November respectively. Papers usually vary from 3500 to 6000, but longer reviews of themes and areas related to emotional education are also a key feature of the journal. The journal has special issues dedicated to specific topics in emotional education, and a book review section.

Some of the areas related covered by the journal include amongst others emotional intelligence, social and emotional development, educational resilience, social and emotional health, social and emotional literacy, social and emotional competence, social, emotional and behaviour difficulties, health promotion in schools, mental health in children and young people, mental health in schools, behaviour management and behaviour modification, teaching and learning.

The IJEE is an open-access journal and is free of charge for both readers and authors. It is indexed in PsycINFO, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Directory of Research Journals Indexing (DRJI), ProQuest, the Australian Education Index (AEI) and the Directory of Abstract Indexing of Journals (DAIJ).
