dc.description.abstractSix species of Coleophoridae, Coleophora acrisella, C. arenicola, C. bilineella, C. festivella, C. fretella, and C. helianthemella are recorded for the first time from the Maltese Islands. The record of C. arenicola is also the first one for Europe. The female of C. fretella is described and its biology outlined. Notes on the local biology of C. semicinerea are also given. A check-list of the Maltese Coleophoridae is provided along with new data for C. jefreniensis.en_GB
