This dissertation aims to analyse how the various determinants of well-being influence the life satisfaction of Maltese individuals. Since data on such issue is still lacking for Malta, primary data was used by which questionnaires were distributed by the use of social media amongst individuals aged eighteen years and over. Having an average level of 7.15 indicates that the Maltese people are fairly satisfied. The main findings of this study indicated that individuals’ life satisfaction is influenced by education, health, environment, government trust and culture. On the other hand, factors such as; gender, age, income, relationship status, island, religion participation and socialisation variables were not significant for the variation in the life satisfaction of Maltese individuals within this study.en_GB
