Abstract: | During the time when Dante started to write the 'Divina Comedia' in Italian, the language of the common people, rather than in Latin, he was met with heavy criticism. Similar cases occurred in other countries like France, England and Malta. In this article, the author insists that the Maltese language should be used, promoted and developed so it can continue to grow. He also encourages readers to read books published by the 'Ghaqda ta' Qari Tajjeb'. |
