Abstract: Aging is associated with an increased incidence of thrombo-embolic complications, which may involve age-related changes in the hemostatic system. We investigated the haemostatic balance in an experimental model of aging. Male rats (CD-COBS Charles River, Italy) aged 3±1 or 18±3 months, normally fed and stabulated were used for the experiments.
