| Abstract: | The tapestries at the Grand Master's Palace were not unique in their time: the Les Anciennes Indes series was repeated several times for different clients between 1687 and 1730. Yet today they are unique in that they are the only surviving complete set in the world - still hanging in the chamber for which they were ordered three centuries ago. |
