dc.description.abstractThis is a speech delivered by Father Gwakkin Schembri on 25th November 1960 in honour of Professor Saydon. The speech was made on Saint Catherine's feast at Zurrieq Parish Church. Saydon was a Catholic priest and a great scholar of the Maltese language, the Semitic languages and the Bible and his major contribution of the Maltese language was when he translated the Bible from Hebrew to Maltese. This speech refers to some of his contributions.en_GB
