Accounting has been called the language of business and is one of the most active of the professions. It occupies a very significant place especially in the functions of today’s commercial society which is becoming more and more dependent on buying and selling. The study of accounting is invaluable in its direct relevance to the present and future life of every young person. The subject has both a practical and a theoretical aspect. It is divided into two: financial accounting and cost and management accounting. The Accounting Department provides students with knowledge understanding and particular techniques that can help them to face the challenges of today’s business environment. The Accounting Department teaches accounts at advanced and intermediate levels and has a teaching complement of ten lecturers.
