Abstract: | In this paper I should like to concentrate on the use of Psalm 110 (LXX 109) in the New Testament. This Psalm is used rather frequently. It is either cited verbatim or alluded to, but all together we have thirty passages in which the text is quoted one way or another. The verses which are used mostly are vs 1 and vs 4. According to Nestle-Aland's edition the words in Romans 2:5 are a reference to the fifth verse of Psalm 110, but this is uncertain. I will not go into all the passages in which the Psalm is quoted, but will concentrate on 1 Corinthians, Romans, Mark and Hebrews. I will only briefly mention some of the other passages. |
