| Abstract: | In August 2017, Malta celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Operation Pedestal, also known as Santa Maria Convoy. On August 15 1942, a convoy of three cargoes entered the Grand Harbour, followed by two others the morning after. They brought 32,000 tons of supplies, saving Malta from capitulation. |
