| Abstract: | This article reflects upon Queen Elizabeth II’s first and last visit to the island of Gozo, Malta. Having visited Gozo first in 1951 and last in 1992, the Queen of England is a beloved figure among the Gozitans, who have dedicated various popular venues to her name. Albeit having plans to visit Gozo once again in 2005 for the biennial CHOGM meeting which was held in Malta, Prince Philip visited the island alone. |
